The 2nd Annual Clemson Easter Bunny Run 5k and Half Marathon
Race update 2/3/2010 the Half Marathon is FULL. A Waiting list has been added. 5k capacity is 300 participants.
I will reach out to the local police departments again to see if we can extend the half marathon limit but I cant make any promises and I'll update the site as soon as I get an answer. Thank you all for your interest in the Easter Bunny Half Marathon!

Brief Description:
Come join us in an exciting morning of fun and fitness. Follow the Easter bunny as you run the half marathon or 5k. An Easter bunny on a bicycle will lead you on a scenic course through Clemson and the surrounding area. If you find an Easter egg along the way, be sure to pick it up for a surprise at the finish. An Easter egg hunt will also take place on the intramural fields for all who wish to participate.
This year each age bracket will be assigned a specific color egg to search for. This will ensure fairness and fun for all! Also expect new, fun, and exciting prizes! All half marathon finishers will receive a medal for their efforts and participation.
Course
The course will be a unique race course.
To those running the half marathon*; you will receive the full Clemson running experience as the course starts off on the Clemson University Intramural Fields and includes areas of campus, the community, the SC Botanical Gardens, and the dikes giving you an excellent opportunity to view beautiful Lake Hartwell, or lack there of.
The 5k is a rolling course that circles the University
*The Half Marathon course features mixed terrain and is NOT wheelchair accessible.

We will be accepting Donations via Check or Cash. Please make checks payable to Clemson Triathlon Club. All proceeds will help send the active members of the Triathlon Club to Collegiate Nationals in Lubbock, Texas on April 17, 2010. Go Tigers!

Driving Directions To Fike Recreation Center
From the North (from Charlotte, NC: 2.5 hours; Greenville, SC: 1 hour)
Take I-85 south to exit #19B (Hwy. 76/28 west). Exit toward Clemson University. Follow Hwy. 76/28 west for approximately 12 miles (through 7 traffic lights). Take the Hwy. 93 exit ramp on your right past the SC National Guard Armory and turn left at the stoplight. Once on Hwy. 93, travel approximately 1 mile to the fifth traffic light. Take a left at the light onto Williamson Road. Fike Recreation Center will be located on the left before the football stadium.
From the South (from Atlanta, GA 2.5 hours)
Take I-85 north to exit #14 (Hwy. 187). Turn left onto Hwy. 187 toward Pendleton, and proceed approximately six miles until the highway ends at Hwy. 76/28 (at the traffic light). Turn left and follow Hwy 76/28 west for approximately 6 miles. Take the Hwy. 93 exit ramp on your right past the SC National Guard Armory and turn left at the stoplight. Once on Hwy. 93, travel approximately 1 mile to the fifth traffic light. Take a left at the light onto Williamson Road. Fike Recreation Center will be located on the left before the football stadium.
